The Tide Machine will be at Kingholm Quay for performances by Oceanallover Wednesday 28 April and Saturday 1 May
1st April 2010

The Tide Machine is being built in Dumfries by the same team who floated the giant wicker Tam O'Shanter on the Nith and then burnt it for Burns Light a year ago...

Come down to Kingholm Quay to discover this extraordinary structure, and be amazed by THE TIDE MACHINE SHOW, with its fantastical costumes and strange soundscapes, that are being created even now by Alex Rigg of Oceanallover and designer and writer Mark Zygadlo.

THE TIDE MACHINE SHOW will be presented by 25 performers from Oceanallover on Wednesday 28 April in time for the high tides, one at 12 noon and one at 12 midnight. Many different entertainments will also take place, including a special Open Stage night on Wednesday 28 April at 7pm.

The Tide Machine is the brainchild of Mark Zygadlo and Alex Rigg, in collaboration with Dumfries and Galloway Arts Association and Glasgow-based arts organisation Conflux.
